The block-long former Hinckel Brewery complex, listed as a National Register property, involved conversion of its late 19th Century masonry buildings into 46 market rate apartments. This is an Investment Tax Credit project which necessitated approval of the Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP), the Federal Department of Interior and the Historic Albany Foundation. SRG and the owner received a Historic Rehabilitation Merit Award from the Historic Albany Foundation.
