SRG designed a state-of-the-art civic cultural center for the Central New York region. It was to serve as a downtown economic catalyst for Oneonta, increasing tourism, employment and overall economic development to the entire region. The design of this 104,000 SF facility included a grand lobby; a 1,200-seat performing arts theater; a 300-seat black box theater which can accommodate a 225-seat dinner theater; multi-purpose rooms for rehearsals, dance lessons, recitals, music/dance educational workshops, conferences and other related activities. FPAC would also house retail shops, a cafe, concessions and catering areas, suitable infrastructure for stage/scene and costume fabrication, sound and video production capabilities and sufficient space for administrative and management personnel.
