This small restaurant was designed to fit stylistically within the surrounding traditional neighborhood. In order to reinstate the street wall by moving the new “storefront” up to the alignment of the older surrounding structures, SRG needed to obtain seven site and zoning related variances. This commercial undertaking is the first new development in downtown Rensselaer in the past 50 years and has dramatically exceeded the owner’s business projections.
