Acting as consultants
to the lead architects, Reynolds, Smith & Hills, Stracher-Roth-Gilmore
was part of the coordinated team of architects and engineers to
design the new $43 million airport terminal as a regional gateway
to the Capital District. SRG was involved in all aspects of the
design, presentation, production and on-site observation through
construction.
The challenge was not only to bring this new facility in on time
and on budget, but to assist in creating an architectural product
which shows a sensitivity to the rich historical traditions of the
Capital Region, while recognizing the modernity of flight and terminal
related operations.
